We know some of you have been eager to know more about this year’s edition of the SHiFT conference.
We have been silent but we listened.
A lot happened since 2010, both at a professional and personal level.
Some of us changed jobs, others went as far as changing countries.
SHiFT was trying to fill a gap within the portuguese knowledge and discussion panorama, to bring ideas and expose Portugal to the outside, in the meantime, other projects and conferences came to life, all of them very interesting.
This raised a number of questions for us: should we continue? is SHiFT still relevant in the new panorama of conferences? Do we have the resources to continue? Do we need to make some changes?
In the end we decided to continue, we’ll embrace some needed changes in order to ensure that we have the energy and right resources to make SHiFT’12 memorable as the ones before (2006/2008/2010).
Our current plan is to target the year end (late 2012 or early 2013) for SHiFT’12
